Special Diversity Council Human Library Event with HGA

HGA and Diversity Council are working to convene a virtual human story event modeled after Human Library in late October as part of HGA's 2020 United Way campaign. 


HGA People and Culture


 A group of Architects, Interior Designers, Landscape Architects, Planners, Researchers, Engineers and support staff with the vision to:

  • Start with Curiosity
  • Build Empathy
  • Do the Hard Work
  • Seek Originality
  • Leave a Legacy  



Human Book titles and their bias lenses: 

  1. "Path to Citizenship" -- immigration, race
  2. "Black Engineer" -- African-American
  3. "Ms. Anxiety" -- mental health
  4. "Speaks Six Languages, Can't Tie Own Shoes" -- disability (ASD)
  5. "Addict in Recovery" -- addiction
  6. "Permanent Other" -- immigration
  7. "Native" -- race
  8. "Growing Up Fatherless" -- being different, income
