The C4G Social Justice/Social Services Action Team and the Housing Action Team have advocated for addressing homelessness and affordable housing in our area.
Last year our local governmental and other community leaders collaborated on the creation of the Day Center as a gathering place for our homeless community members during the day as well as a place to connect to resources and services.  The agreement is ending next month.

The Rochester City Council is discussing the future and funding of the Day Center at its July 19th meeting.  We have several individuals lined up to speak, and we are asking for you to show community support by attending the meeting as a show of support in favor of extending and continuing the Day Center operations and to continue to work for a more permanent solution.

Please join us July 19, at 6 p.m. at the City Council/Board Chambers at City Hall.

If you are interested in participating with this effort and other efforts regarding homelessness, please respond to this email.
