Destination Medical Center plans call for a sustainability target to reduce energy consumption by 25 percent in 2030. Separately, Rochester Mayor Ardell Brede has made a proclamation that Rochester will aim to use 100 percent renewable energy by 2031.
Are these goals possible? If so, what kind of policies will we need to put in place to ensure we're on tack to meet such ambitious targets?
This month, we're going to discuss how Rochester could become a national leader in sustainability under DMC.
ABOUT WHAT'S ON TAP
Join us on the second Wednesday of every month in the new pantry space (back of restaurant) for an informal conversation on local issues. All conversations are moderated by Kutzky Market resident blogger Dave Beal. There are never any formal presentations and each person who attends is allowed equal opportunity to engage in the conversation.
Drop a note on this Facebook event's wall if you have any questions or comments before or after the discussion.
