Join us at the Rochester Public Library on Wednesday, April 20 for a discussion on how to make Rochester more inclusive for all 111,402 (2014) people who reside here.
The conversation — co-hosted by The Med City Beat, RNeighbors, Rochester Neighborhood Resource Center and the library — will focus on how to diversify our local boards and committees in terms of gender, race, age, socioeconomic status and sexual orientation.
We hope to have a mix of elected officials, community leaders and members of the public in attendance. We will start in small groups before engaging in an open forum. The latter part of the discussion will be focused on finding solutions that can be implemented in Rochester.
Prior to the event, we invite you to start the conversation in the comment thread below. Rather than venting about what has been, we would like to keep the dialogue moving forward with new ideas and strategies.
Only by working together can we build a stronger community.
